I started Slacklining and Highlining in 2018 in Córdoba, Argentina, during my studies. I had the opportunity to learn from experienced people in the highlining community, which deepened my passion for big lines.

In 2020, after finishing my law studies and due to the pandemic, I moved back to my home-city of Salta. There we started a new community from the ground up, “Club Slackline Salta“, where I realised my passion for developing new communities and trying to give back what I learned while learning from the new people.

In 2021 I moved to Germany and started highlining with the local community, participating in events and highline organisation. I also worked with crews in Belgium while helping to develop the local community in Bonn, Germany.

In 2023, thanks to my experience as a business manager and with the idea of contributing to my roots, I participated as a founding member in the creation of the Argentinian Federation, which is today an official member of the ISA. Nowadays I’m starting in the “Freestyle World” as well as a Freestyle Bike Tour.

Lisa Bretagne

Vice-Chair

Lisa has been a board member of the Swiss Slackline Federation since 2014, helping with translations and organizing the first slackline instructor courses in Switzerland. Since 2018, she is the Vice-President of the Swiss Slackline Federation. Lisa participated in the creation of the ISA and joined the Advisory Board in 2016. In 2018, she helped create the Education Commission and became its Vice-President. She coordinates the ISA´s effort to develop an internationally recognised slackline instructor diploma and is a current Vice-Chair of the Advisory Board.

Peter Patzt

Representative

Peter has been slacklining since 2013 and highlining since 2015. In 2017 he moved from Germany to the United States for professional reasons. On both continents he cherished the welcoming communities. Peter joined the Advisory Board in 2018. He regularly joins the Safety Commission’s meetings to add his perspectives. His aim is alsos to further strengthen the exchange between the European and American Slackline Communities.

Sarah Gmeiner

Chair

Sarah has been slacklining since 2009, started highlining in 2013 and has since highlined on 6 continents. She was elected as a member of the Advisory Board in 2016 and since then she has worked on various publications and translations for the ISA, as well as helping to coordinate efforts surrounding highline safety education and increasing the safety and sustainability of slackline events. She has also helped as an instructor with the ISA rigging certifications.

Philipp Gesing

Representative

Philipp has been slacklining since 2011 and was the President of the German Slackline Association and the ISA Advisory Board. Being a founding member of the ISA, Philipp has been involved in creating many of the association’s publications and studies. His main focus lies on education, safety, and tree protection.
